Saw X
To mark the tenth anniversary of the Saw franchise, we crafted a clever parody of AMC’s famous Nicole Kidman celebration of cinema, starring Billy the Puppet. Filmed in the Lionsgate theater with the original animatronic puppet, we meticulously recreated every shot and line of dialogue, adding a gory twist for fans.
The spot quickly went viral, attracting coverage from Entertainment Weekly, Fast Company, Rotten Tomatoes, IGN, and USA Today. IMDB even produced a side-by-side comparison video. Fangoria hailed it as a “perfect remake,” and Ad Age honored it as their Editor’s Pick, dubbing it “the ultimate parody.”.
AMC's legal pushback led to the video's removal, igniting fan outrage, a second wave of press, and the proliferation of bootleg copies online.
In addition, we created another parody featuring Billy the Puppet in a reimagined version of MTV’s "Cribs,” which also gained significant attention.
